Copyright Text: Information for the ShastaGeo.DBO.Schools feature class was updated through a verification process which included obtaining information from the following sources: ADDRESS,PHONE and GRADE information was obtained from the Shasta County Office of Education (SCOE) website https://www.shastacoe.org/shasta-county-schools/pcs-eric. The school or District office was called directly for clarification when the schools website URL was not current. DISTRICT information and school closures were verified using the following: California department of Education (CDEC) website: http://www.cde.ca.gov/re/sd/index.asp Shasta County Office of Education (SCOE): https://www.shastacoe.org/shasta-county-schools/pcs Independent Educational Programs: (IEP): http://iepschool.com/services/districts-we-serve Childcare Centers: https://childcarecenter.us/ Shasta County Head Start: https://www.shastaheadstart.org/shasta-county.html Daycare license numbers were populated in the License field with a California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Care Facility Search: https://secure.dss.ca.gov/CareFacilitySearch/home/index Fields for missing information were filled out based on information already stored in the attribute table, from the SCOE and school websites, and in the School Parcels feature class. The Department of Agriculture provided geospatial information on schools with daycares (Schools_w_Daycares_AG Feature Class) which was used to update both schools and daycare information for the ShastaGeo.DBO.Schools feature class.
