Description: Access routes from roads to addess situs points. These features are essentailly driveways captured by digitizing lines from address situs points to the assumed entry from addressed road. Various imagery sources were used based, including esri Imagery services, NAIP, Google, Bing, or local imagery collected in the Shasta County southern urban area 2016. Residences that share a access way have seperated line features, thus there maybe overlapping lines. Some very rural addresses have access ways that are under significant tree cover, in these cases a 'best guess' was used to estimate the line. NO legal definitions were used to capture these features, thus at times they may cross parcel lines or easements strictly based on the imagery used to capture the feature.

Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Road centerline file for Shasta County with road name and address range information.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Road surfaces reviewed and classified into one of the following categories; Asphalt, Asphalt/Gravel, Chip and Seal, Concrete, Dirt, Gravel, Gravel/Dirt or Other. To determine which category a road surface fell into, Basemap imagery was turned on and Google Maps Street View was used to help with confirmation when needed. Once imagery was viewed and road could be seen as Asphalt, for example, the Surface Type in the Attributes window was clicked. A window will pop up and Asphalt would be selected then click OK. Roads that were primary one surface type, Asphalt with short distance of dirt for example, would be marked as Asphalt only. Roads that did not appear with imagery are marked as Other. Last Edited March, 2016</SPAN></SPAN></P><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN>Road ownership based on best known information: using Shasta County road maintenance records, Shasta County Permanent Road Division records and general knowledge from Shasta County Public Works Department. Ownership within the boundaries of the cities of Anderson and Shasta Lake are unknown. Ownership within the City of Redding boundary is set by their GIS department.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>

Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE="margin:0 0 0 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Road centerline file for Shasta County with road name and address range information.</SPAN></SPAN></P><P /><P STYLE="margin:0 0 14 0;"><SPAN><SPAN>Road surfaces reviewed and classified into one of the following categories; Asphalt, Asphalt/Gravel, Chip and Seal, Concrete, Dirt, Gravel, Gravel/Dirt or Other. To determine which category a road surface fell into, Basemap imagery was turned on and Google Maps Street View was used to help with confirmation when needed. Once imagery was viewed and road could be seen as Asphalt, for example, the Surface Type in the Attributes window was clicked. A window will pop up and Asphalt would be selected then click OK. Roads that were primary one surface type, Asphalt with short distance of dirt for example, would be marked as Asphalt only. Roads that did not appear with imagery are marked as Other. Description: The National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) is a feature-based database that interconnects and uniquely identifies the stream segments or reaches that make up the nation's surface water drainage system. NHD data was originally developed at 1:100,000-scale and exists at that scale for the whole country. This high-resolution NHD, generally developed at 1:24,000/1:12,000 scale, adds detail to the original 1:100,000-scale NHD. (Data for Alaska, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands was developed at high-resolution, not 1:100,000 scale.) Local resolution NHD is being developed where partners and data exist. The NHD contains reach codes for networked features, flow direction, names, and centerline representations for areal water bodies. Reaches are also defined on waterbodies and the approximate shorelines of the Great Lakes, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans and the Gulf of Mexico. The NHD also incorporates the National Spatial Data Infrastructure framework criteria established by the Federal Geographic Data Committee.
